Trap-Neuter-Return requirements All cats are to arrive in humane traps and must be covered. We also insist on a base (towel, newspaper or linoleum work great) in the trap, to prevent injury to the cat. Bring a clean, small, plastic carrier (airline type crate) with a towel inside for surigical recovery, also provide a cover just large enough to cover the carrier. No boxes, Rubbermaid containers or alternative carrying devices will be accepted. The carrier should be in good working order with bolts attached to prevent escape. This is for the safety of the cat, yourself and our staff. Trap(s), carrier(s) and cover(s) must have your identification on it. Due to the overwhelming demand for this program, we must limit participants to no more than two cats per day. Special circumstances may arise, please call for approval. Do not transport cats in the trunk of your car, as they may be exposed to extreme heat, cold and exhaust. Surgery days are currently Wednesdays and Sundays only. These days are subject to change. Please check this website for any changes. All cats must be dropped off between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. If you are unable to do so during these hours, for other arrangements, please write to: communitycatsofreno@yahoo.com Pick-up times vary depending upon the number of cats brought in that day. A time will be given at the time of drop off. Usually at 4 p.m. that same afternoon. If you are unable to make it at that time, please make other arrangements with a friend/neighbor to pick up.
This is Pirate . . . he was born in a local park in the Spring of 2004. He was always very distant, but after going through our TNR program, he has grown into a very healthy, strong and loving (to the caretaker) cat.
