Community Cats was founded in 2003 by a small group of feral cat advocates. Among them was veterinarian Diana Lucree, who at that time, had worked with feral cats for five years and had spayed/neutered more than 4,000 feral cats locally and has continued her efforts through this program. We have entered into a cooperative agreement with Washoe County Regional Animal Services to offer TNRM services to northern Nevadans who wish to control the population of their feral cat colonies. However, we receive no public financial aid. Community Cats is supported solely through grants and donations, which allows them to continue providing this important program, thus allowing population control and basic medical services for the cats with no cost to the caretakers. Please call with any questions, to make a donation or to volunteer. We can be reached at: communitycatsofreno@yahoo.comP.O. Box 60284 ~ Reno, NV 89506775.636.1600 or 775.219.9692 | This is Papa . . . said to be have been dumped in 1997 as a kitten. He's alive and healthy thanks to Community Cats. Papa and the rest of his colony have all gone through the TNR program and are living happier, healthier lives. UPDATE: In 2011, the colony caretaker, after eight years, decided the winters were too harsh and made the commitment to take Papa into her home. It's our understanding, he's now a bit spoiled. |
